TRENDING: UEW Management Swears In 5 Interim Executive Members Today

Despite opposition from the Local Assembly today at the L.A. emergency meeting, five people have been sworn in by the university administration.

The Local Assembly members who wrote the letter to management requesting the meeting did so in order to have a meaningful discussion and determine the best course of action for choosing the next interim SRC executives.

Management announced a meeting today at 5 p.m. after taking note of the letter the L.A. members had sent them.

The two university vice-deans, the registrar, and the secretary of the dean were where the assembly members reportedly congregated.

The Local Assembly was required to approve the nominations of five people made by the Registrar and her team at the aforementioned meeting, which the L.A. members claimed should have been a dialogue about their previous meeting that ended inconclusively.

The present president of GRASG-UEW and four other names were among those suggested without specifying their positions.

Although there was a walkout by the members, the management still swore in the five people they had chosen.

The Local Assembly members have not yet decided what they will do next. Nonetheless, UEW currently has interim executives who were sworn in at the Local Assembly's cost.

A vigil night is held for the late Emmanuel Afful by friends and allies.

Emmanuel Afful's friends and family attended a vigil night to commemorate and pay their final respects to the deceased today, the fourth day since his passing.

This event took place at the University of Education's Winneba South Campus, which is where he studied. The Royal Garvians' assistance allowed the occasion to proceed smoothly.

Wherever his soul is at this moment, may the Good Lord shield him and lead him.

Peace be with you, Sancho

SAD: UEW LEVEL 300 Student Passes On After Suffering Mild Stroke - READ STORY

Emmanuel Afful, a UEW Level 300 Art Education student who was known as SANCHO for his football skills, regrettably passed away after having a mild stroke.

According to sources, SANCHO was not feeling well over the weekend and was unable to join his mates on the field for a game of soccer.

He got out of bed one night because he needed to relieve himself outside, in the cause of relieve he collapsed. He was unable to call for help. It was only when his roommates realized it took him so long to return back to the room that they went out to check on him. There He layed.

He was rushed right away to the neighboring TRAUMA municipal hospital around campus.

The doctors and physicians determined that the young man had a mild stroke, which was caused by a tear in one of the nerves that connects half of his body to his brain. As a result, half of his body had stopped functioning.

Because they couldn't also keep a watch on him at Winneba, when his parents learned about the entire incident and the doctor's assessment, they asked that their kid be sent to Kumasi for better care.

So SANCHO was immediately transported to the Kumasi OKOMFO Anokye Teaching Hospital. He fought for a week before his classmates on campus organized a fundraiser to generate money for his family's support so that the physicians could perform his surgery.

Unfortunately SANCHO, who was born on March 12, regrettably passed away on March 12, 2023 his birthday, because he was unable to survive.

My deepest condolences to his family and friends right now. They have my unflinching support and my sincerest sympathies. In this difficult time, I send them tons of love, serenity, comfort, and bravery.

RIP, Sancho

UEW OSIS Portal: 1 Day Remaining To End Online Course Registration | Check How To Register

An online student information platform called UEW OSIS SIP is used by the University of Education, Winneba to access students' results and enroll for semester courses.

Students are urged to register for their courses this semester utilizing the OSIS due to certain issues with the latest site and the ITS. So, they must carefully follow the following guidelines for a smooth and effective registration.

NB: The processes in registering are paying the fee, logging into SIP, adding courses, confirming the registration, printing registration slips, and providing other pertinent information.

UEW OSIS INDEX NUMBER

The applicant numbers listed on your acceptance letters are 9-digit applicant numbers, not the 10-digit index numbers that will be assigned to all newly admitted students. Any student who transferred from a diploma or post-graduate degree and had an outdated ITS student number falls under this category. The new index numbers will be formatted as follows:

  • 323XXXXXXX for diploma programs
  • 523XXXXXXX for degree programs
  • 623XXXXXXX for post-graduate diploma programs
  • 723XXXXXXX for M.A., M.Ed, MBA, or M.Sc. programs
  • 823XXXXXXX for Master of Philosophy programs and
  • 923XXXXXXX for Doctor of Philosophy degree programs

You must have fully or partially paid your fees using the trans flow payment method in order for your index number to be generated. Unpaid fees will prevent students from accessing or generating materials, which may prevent them from registering.
